Knights Ferry Community Club Christmas dinner is Thursday, Dec. 4th at 6:00 p.m. at the clubhouse. The Oakdale High School Choir will perform again this year. Attendees are asked to bring: A-M- salads and sides and N-Z desserts and sides. The club will furnish ham, turkey, potatoes and gravy. This is always a great way to start the Christmas season!

Congratulations go out to Christopher Roek, former Knights Ferry Student and a senior at Oakdale High, on being awarded the Eagle Scout rank. Chris belongs to Boy Scout Troop #43 in Oakdale. Since 1912 more than two million Boy Scouts have earned the Eagle Scout award, Scouting’s highest rank achievement. Way to go Chris!

Tristan McCarthy celebrated his 7th birthday with a bowling party and pizza with family and friends.

The Knights Ferry Community Church is celebrating Advent on each Sunday starting November 30th.

The December Movie Night will show “Santa and Pete” on Dec. 12th Hot chocolate and popcorn will be available. Please come in your pajamas and bring your pillow. Doors open at the clubhouse at 6:00 p.m.

On Dec. 7th (Sunday) is the grand opening of MADE in Knights Ferry. David Voortman is opening the shop next to the Creamery featuring goods made by local artists. He is open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. Check it out and do some Christmas shopping.

Ellen Wearin and Barbara Burroughs have returned from a Christian Woman’s Retreat in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the Running Y Ranch. They traveled with Barbara Knight who taught with Barb B. over 40 years ago in Fresno. The setting was beautiful with a little snow. The renewing of friendships and faith based meetings were a true inspiration during this Thanksgiving Season.

Hall, Dec. 10th Garden Club Christmas luncheon at Barbara Shook’s home at 10:00 a.m., Dec. 12th Movie Night, Dec. 18th is the Knights Ferry School’s program.
