Congratulations go out to Knights Ferry School 4.0 students for the second trimester: Dylan Anderson, Rilyn Cassaretto, Eden Cassinetto, Wyatt Dickens, Alyssa Sisco, Kaeli Sweet, Julia Nilsson, Ray Patton and Elise Seeds. Keep up the good work!

Teri and Bernie Foster are Great-grandparents. Daughter Debbie’s son Eric and his wife Dianna had a baby girl.

At an assembly at Knights Ferry School, Students of the Month were announced: Kindergarten-Trex Porter, First Grade-Aubrey Mendonca, Second Grade-Grace Harden, Third Grade-Tate Cassaretto, Fourth Grade-Mitzy Collantes, Sixth Grade-Wyatt Dickens and Seventh Grade-Megan Willis. Super Students picked out of the jar were Olivia Doshas and Austin Santillo.

Knights Ferry friends were saddened to hear of the death of Charlie Morisoli last week. Condolences go to his wife Anita and family.

At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting last Thursday, Second grader Grace Harden, First Grader Carson Sundberg and Second Grader Ben Cassinetto gave power point presentations on animals they were studying, the Elk, Whale and Tarantula. Also on the agenda was information on security systems. Knights Ferry is the only small school without an intercom system. There will be more information gathered on a system for the next meeting.

At the Knights Ferry Garden Club meeting, Teri Foster was surprised with a garden tool shower to help replace the items burned up in their garden shed fire.

The Modesto Nuts baseball team has a reading program and Robert and the Nuts mascot Al, gave a presentation to Knights Ferry School. The students read and get rewarded with tickets to games, food and participation in pre-game activities.

Upcoming school activities are: Public School’s Night April 18th with a Book Fair, A Science Fair April 30th and a Talent Show and dinner May 16th.
