Don’t forget the community Zero party on September 26th at the clubhouse. All with birthdays ending in zero will be honored. The festivities begin at 5:30. Please bring a dish to share and your favorite drink. There will be entertainment (?) by Ben and his “group” and regular DJ music for dancing.

It’s rattlesnake number 13 for the Noe family! This one was in the flowerbed and had 12 rattles.

The Knights Ferry School Parent/Faculty Club has new officers for the 2009-2010 school year. President is Cindy Meiggs, Vice President is Shelli Borba, Secretary is Tasha Sweet and Treasurer is Lori Lubeck. The first activity planned is the Jog-a-Thon on October 9th, the annual fundraiser for field trips.

At the meeting of the Museum and History Associates, Christmas in Knights Ferry was the topic. It will happen December 6th from 8 to 3, with crafts in the clubhouse, displays of old cards and toys in the museum, a breakfast, parade, kettle corn, music and food. Sounds like a good day so put it on your calendar! The members also sang the Birthday song to Michel Griesner.

The Knights Ferry School and SCOE Health Services will offer the regular flu shots and nasal spray vaccines to children and adults at the school on October 22 from 2:30 to 4:30. The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children.

The town yard sale is October 4th from 8 to 3 on the tennis court. Your reporter is cleaning her closets and shed, join in the fall cleaning and have a free booth. Call 881-3314 for your space.

Plans for the Knights Ferry Grammar School Foundation’s 50’s dance is coming along nicely. Some prizes this year will be a week in Hawaii, a flight over Yosemite, dinner certificates, and a lot more. It will be held October 16th at the clubhouse. There will be dance contests, limbo contest, costume contest, hula-hoop contest and more. Save the date!
