The Oak Grove Cemetery had its annual clean up. Thanks to Bill Hummer for mowing the front parking area and Alan Caldron and his garden crew for cleaning the plots. It looks good!

Knights Ferry Garden Club gave Oakdale High School senior Katie Northcutt a scholarship at the high schools assembly and the Knights Ferry Community Club gave OHS senior Domi Powell a scholarship. Congratulations girls!

Rattlesnake alert- Carol Davis got one last Wednesday in her garden and Gordon Griesner got one Saturday. They are out and about!

Sharon Page hosted an Owen family reunion at the Page’s home on Sunday. The younger children had fun in the bounce house as the older family members reminisced.

Tomorrow, May 24th is the MAC meeting at the clubhouse at 7:00p.m. They will talk about the “Overlook” subdivision plan of Nick Honchariw. The Stanislaus County Supervisors and Planning Commission turned it down three years ago but Mr. Honchariw took it to court and won an order for reconsideration. He wants one-acre lots on Cemetery Road. The next Supervisors meeting to discuss this was yesterday.

Knights Ferry School’s graduation is May 30th at 7:00p.m. on the stage at KFS. Eighth Graders graduating are: Harrison Ault, Marina Braaton, Kennith Henthorn, Erick Ramirez, Kaeli Sturtevant and Cleo Wilson. Kindergarteners walking across the stage are: Gracie Anderson, Levi Dickens, Hayden Durham, Alexis Elting, Aubrey Mendonca, Wyatt Sousa, Carson Sundberg and Madison Watson.

The next meeting of the Knights Ferry Community Club is a dinner meeting on June 7th at 6:30p.m. The speaker will be Christy Camarillo.

Congratulations go out to Sam Johnson, son of Pat Pfefferle, on his getting his Masters Degree in Computer Science. He will be working on his PHD at the University of Davis. While studying, Sam also works in a research group and is a teaching assistant in computer classes (including grading papers, which tickles his mom!)
