The Knights Ferry School has welcomed two new baby goats to their farm and they have officially planted their pumpkin seeds in the garden box! They have some amazing things happening at school including afterschool programs where the kids can do art, learn Spanish, and work with robotics. The staff and parents are doing a wonderful job providing a well-rounded learning environment for the student!

At the Community Club meeting, they started planning this year’s Pumpkin Roll. Mark your calendars for the first Sunday after Halloween, November 6, 2022 for a great day of local fun.

Last weekend was a hot one in Knights Ferry but that didn’t stop the bands from putting on a fantastic show up at the 50s Roadhouse! The Knights Ferry Music Festival was the place to be in town despite the hot weather. The bands gave it their all on the stage for the fans to enjoy while they shopped at the vendor booths and enjoyed the day. The festival coordinators provided plenty of cold bottled water and cooling towels for the fans to help keep everyone as cool as possible and they reported no medical issues at the event.

Lee Shearer was a very important part of Knights Ferry’s history and his contributions will live on long after his passing. Lee Shearer’s Sendoff Shindig will begin at 11am graveside Saturday, September 10 at the Oak Grove Cemetery and conclude in town at the Community Club and Odd Fellows Hall for lunch and fellowship. Please bring a side dish or a dessert to share.

The Knights Ferry Community Church is hosting their annual fall BBQ on September 11 following the church service at 9:30am. They will provide the tri-tip and ask that each family bring a side dish or dessert to share! Everyone is welcome!
