Knights Ferry News 9-18-19

We had a small fire near our beloved Covered Bridge. It was scary to see the tall flames so close to home but thankfully, it was traveling away from the Bridge and away from town! Numerous fire personnel, including two planes, responded quickly to the emergency and the fire was put out very quickly. Thank you to our responders and local citizens who helped out until the responders arrived!

Knights Ferry School is hosting their first flag football and volleyball game against Valley Home on Friday. The students are having a spirit week to get pumped up for the game against the Hawks so you might see some crazy outfits on kids at school. Good luck, Bobcats! The students are raising money for their annual Color Run-Jogathon on October 11, 2019. This will be the second year that the Bobcats have done a color-run themed Jogathon. They invited sponsors to participate in the fun by sponsoring color stations! It was a great time last year. Please contact the school if you or your company are interested in sponsoring a color booth!

Sheatherfest music filled the town all weekend long! Bands from near and far including Knights Ferry’s Bait and Tackle Choir played at the Knights Ferry Saloon and the River’s Edge. The festival was well attended with people looking to enjoy music!
