The Knights Ferry Odd Fellows have resumed their meetings and pancake breakfast. The pancake breakfast is open to the public. The breakfast is held outside in the Odd Fellows courtyard and masks are mandatory. They will have easy-ups and tables with proper distancing for people who wish to eat their breakfast there but they will also provide to-go containers if you just want to stop by and grab a hot pancake breakfast! I am excited to have a little bit of “normal” in town.

As with most summer weekends, town was quite busy. People flock to the river parks to spend time with family and friends. One of the greatest concerns among the locals, myself included, is the garbage on the ground. Jason and I take a garbage bag and picker with us on walks. I encourage those who have concerns to do something about it! Most of the people who enjoy our town feel the same way about garbage but it’s the small percentage of people who ruin it for everyone!

On a personal note, our family had hoped to have my dad, Bill Martinelli’s, Celebration of Life the end of August but we have decided to postpone it to a later date. We will update the community with a new date when it is appropriate.
