There have been quite a few rattlesnake sightings around so keep your eyes open. Gail Higgins’ cat captured a baby rattlesnake in her flowerbed and Travis Lee killed a rattlesnake that his cat found near his house. The Griesner property also killed a rattlesnake out near the highway but Mary Sue Shearer seems to have claimed the most rattlesnakes in the area!

Gary Briery’s 80th birthday at the ODD Fellows Hall was a celebration to remember! The party had live music, plenty of cold drinks, delicious food, and tables full of Gary’s friends and family. The hall was decorated with creative centerpieces and blue gingham and burlap centerpieces. Large posters with pictures of Gary dating all the way back to his youth hung all around the room. He was a handsome little fellow! Gary sang “Can’t help falling in love” with live band accompaniment.

The Community Club hosted their annual July picnic at the Club. The Club was decorated with patriotic tablecloths and centerpieces and hung banners along the wall. There were a lot of new faces but the group missed some of the regulars!
