The Classic Car Benefit Show in Knights Ferry, California was this weekend! The 50s Roadhouse (Manny and Maria), Miles Shuper, and Bill Adams planned the benefit car show to help with Project Hero and the Knights Ferry Church. This year there were 45-50 cars parked at the 50s Roadhouse and there was live music! Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make this benefit a great success. Thank you to the 50s Roadhouse always willing help with all fundraising and benefit events!

The Knights Ferry 8th grade graduation theme was “One Foot in Front of the Other” and the guest speaker was Ms. Pat Johnson. She was instrumental to the success of the outgoing 8th grade class. The class of 15 students gave the traditional Class History and were each presented with their graduation diploma. As each graduate left the stage, they presented one red rose and 10 white carnations to their friends and family. It was a bittersweet ceremony as the Jr. High teacher, Mr. Randy Russell was unable to attend due to an emergency surgery. Get well soon, Mr. Russell!

The Knights Ferry Kindergarten graduation was held in the Knights Ferry Community Club. The sweet kindergarteners donned blue cap and gowns and proudly stood on the stage at the Clubhouse! The Kindergarten parents really outdid themselves decorating the stage with detailed decorations such as lights and balloons. They really worked hard to make this day special for their little ones!

Congratulations to David and Heather Voortman! They celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last week.

The last day of school was on Friday. The entire school had a water day complete with the firemen spraying water into the air for the kids. The kids were jumping and squealing with happiness! As the students were dismissed, they walked down to the Masonic Lodge where the Masons served them ice cream. It was a fantastic way to end the school year!
