This Thursday, June 3 is the Community Club meeting at the clubhouse at 6:30 p.m. It is a dinner meeting. Speakers for the night are from the Animal Shelter. If you have old towels, dog dishes, etc. to donate, please bring them to the meeting.

June 6 is Homecoming in the Ferry. The Odd Fellows will have their monthly breakfast and the museum will be open. Come look at the displays and reminisce on the old times in the Ferry. Light refreshments will be served.

It is Graduation time and Knights Ferry has a lot of graduates. Kindra Brockman and Monica Brockman graduated from Stanislaus State. They both went to Knights Ferry School and Oakdale High. Former KFS graduates that graduated from Oakdale High are: Grant Wright, Holly Wheeler, Dulce Gaxiola, Emilie Machado, Sasha Sinkevich, Brendt Ohe, Elijah Martinez, Josh Lownsbery, James Evans, Kristen Barrett, Carolyn Abbott, Jacob Johnson, Daniel Gazdik, Greg Brockman, Heather Brockman, and Hannah Bailey. Best wishes in all you do from the Ferry.

Knights Ferry School graduates this evening, June 2 at 7 p.m. in front of the school. Eighth Graders receiving diplomas are: Kori Altmann, Leah Armario, Alissa Baize, Katie Christensen, Kit Foster, Jesse Freitas, Taylor Kelley, Oskar Nilsson, Peyton Paul, Luke Tanner and Charles Wong.

Kindergarteners receiving certificates of completion are: Dylan Anderson, Morgan Ballard, Breanna Banks, Hayden Cassaretto, Tate Cassaretto, Luke Dickens, Emily Dubiel, Elijah Elting, Maribel Limon, Maddox Link, Lorin Odom, Anthony Sofge Neely, Sophia Thompson and Emalee Watson.

There was a river rescue behind the Foster’s Morrison Road home last week. The river is cold and fast so be careful!

Last Wednesday’s lightning show was awesome. Your reporter, hubby and dogs watched from the solarium and Ted, the big dog, shook at each boom of thunder. The downpour of rain hit and we couldn’t see anymore. Quite a show!

Last Thursday a vehicle hit a power pole at Orange Blossom and Stone roads and the power was out for about three hours in the early morning. The vehicle went over the bank and the pole was across the road.
