Someone removed part of our fence between properties and compromised our security system. They mowed the berries and cut some branches off our shrubs. Yesterday some people were on the property next door and it looked like they were going to fence it. If you remove a fence shouldn’t you contact the other property owner?

Mr. Tom Changnon, Superintendent for the Stanislaus County Office of Education, spoke at the Knights Ferry School board meeting last Thursday. He discussed the future of the school. It has dropped enrollment and is now in the 80’s, which is critical.

The school has very positive attributes: good test scores, beautiful campus, dedicated teachers, family-like atmosphere, sports, music, art, fairly stable income and community support. On the minus side is the cost of housing in our area. More students are needed, maybe imported from surrounding districts. In other items, Pat Johnson, 3rd–4th teacher, put in for the Retirement Incentive Program. Manny Arias from the 50’s Roadhouse was there to accept the thanks for the donation of money collected from the bar at the Roadhouse. The teachers will purchase Common Core related technology.
