This hot weather can stop! The fires have been horrible. Matt and Rossi Glover had property burned, about 90 acres, that was started by dragging chain on a vehicle. The big fire plume in Butte County can be seen from Jeff and Lisa Shearer’s ranch in Loma Rica. Numerous small fires in this area have been quickly put out before they get big. Be careful!

Congratulations to Thor Hoefer on tying for second place at the PBR in Cluny, Alberta, Canada. Thor is the son of Mickie Martinelli and grandson of Bill and Kay.

Ellen Wearin, on her way to Don Pedro for the fireworks, was hit by a car and Ellen’s car was totaled. No one was injured by the collision but the other lady was cited. Ellen was sad she had to give up her little blue car but was grateful there were no injuries.

She must have had her guardian angel riding along.

The community picnic was held in the clubhouse with nice air conditioning! There were many great dishes and good visiting. Michael and Maureen McKibban brought their 7-year-old granddaughter Emma and she made the cupcakes for dessert. It was a nice gathering of townsfolk.

Condolences go out to Traci Griesner on the death of her 12-year-old dog, Grizzly. Thanks from Traci to Kay and Angie Martinelli and Dr. Mike Adian for their assistance at this tragic time.
