Another month gone, where are they going?

Lots of things happening in the Ferry for November. Knights Ferry Community Club dinner meeting is Thursday, November 3rd at 6:30 p.m. with the annual Pumpkin Roll on November 6th the topic. After the meeting the tables will be set up for the craft fair. The Roll day starts with breakfast in the I.O.O.F. Hall, craft booths in the clubhouse, museum open and the Roll signups start at 11:00 a.m. Besides the Roll and craft fair there will be food, music and entertainment. It is always a fun day.

Also in November: 8th Museum and History meeting and voting at Miller’s Hall, 9th is Garden Club at Maureen McKibbans and 10th School Board meeting.

Congratulations to Fred Dolling on being Senior Warden of the Grand Encampment of California Odd Fellows. Wendell Watson is the Junior Warden.

At the MAC meeting it was announced it is the last meeting for the year due to the holidays. California Highway Patrolman Chuck Leon told of the fatality on Willms Road, a single car accident. This was his last MAC meeting as liaison (9 years) as he will be assigned another position. Supervisor Bill O’Brien told of the speed humps paid for and stored with Knights Ferry’s name on them for January. This also was Supervisor O’Brien’s last meeting (12 years) as he did not run for reelection. There was no new business.

At the Knights Ferry School’s Award Assembly for Kindness, winners were: Angelina Hyde, Alexa Bonson, Sam Blanc, Kayla Canterbury, Troy Peterson, Jessica Martinez, Gerardo Martinez, and Seth Esteves. Awards for being Trustworthy went to: Wyatt Birdsong, Hadley Gardner, Naya Morua, Rita Taylor, Jenna O’Neil, Cameron Sales, Grace Harden, Dakota Voortman and Olivia Doshas. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
