It is hard to believe the holiday season is upon us! The local businesses are decorated with lights and greenery and of course, Tracy Griesner’s home is bright and cheery! A very special thank you to Katie Feichter for gifting holiday cheer to the community. She left rustic greenery arrangements on the gates and doors of many homes in town. Have a very Merry Christmas with your family and friends!

The entire Martinelli clan (minus myself and my family) met in Las Vegas for a Gold Card recognition dinner where my dad, Bill Martinelli was honored along with many other gold card bronc riders. Even though my dad doesn’t speak much anymore, he enjoys seeing many of his old rodeo friends. His oldest daughter, Mickie and her husband, Luke flew in from Oklahoma for the occasion. The grandsons all had a turn to ride a mechanical bull on the Vegas strip! The Peterson family made a quick stop to peer over Hoover Dam before they drove home.

Knights Ferry School’s Christmas program is December 19th and 20th and the entire community is invited to the matinee showings at 9 a.m. Donuts and coffee will be available. On December 19th, the Kindergarten-4th graders will wear costumes and sing songs and on December 20th, the 5th-8th graders will perform a play. Natalie Brockman has orchestrated a very special program and Knights Ferry School is very blessed to have her musical and creative talents! The school has moved to two performances to accommodate the increase in enrollment. The Community Club just isn’t large enough to house all the families and students!

The Creamery will be closed for the remainder of the year to spend the holidays with their family! They will reopen the end of January.

Don’t forget to get your Christmas card stamps from the local Post Office. The revenue helps the Post Office stay open!
