The Community Club’s annual Christmas Dinner is on December 5, 2019 at 6pm. The Club will provide turkey, ham, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy but ask that each family bring a side dish or a dessert to share. The Club invites the community to enjoy a delicious dinner, musical entertainment, and fellowship. See you at the Community Club!

The local Christmas parade will kick off the month of December on December 1, 2019. If you would like to be in the parade, meet in front of the River’s Edge around 11:30am. The parade will commence down main street Knights Ferry. For questions or more information please contact Benny Cassinetto. The Odd Fellows pancake breakfast is from 8am-12pm and you can do some Christmas shopping at our local shops!

Last week, the students at Knights Ferry School had minimum days at school for parent and teacher conference week and look forward to a few days off for Thanksgiving. Be sure to read next week’s column to read about the Jr. High sponsored Community Feast.

If you drive the country, it’s not uncommon to see illegally dumped garbage such as large furniture pieces or bags of garbage. We can help keep our area clean by calling to report illegal dumping. If you witness someone dumping trash, write down a description of the driver, vehicle, and vehicle license plate. To report illegal dumping call 1-877-2-ASSIST.

The holidays are quickly approaching and I urge you to support our local post office by purchasing your Christmas card stamps from the Knights Ferry Post Office! It keeps the historic Post Office doors open. They can also ship packages but it is important to do this early to avoid delays. Additionally, they have a great selection of Christmas stamps!
