Local community members gathered last Saturday to tidy up Main Street in anticipation for the upcoming Pumpkin Roll. The crew raked leaves, picked up garbage, trimmed trees, whacked weeds, pruned bushes, and even mowed the Community Club’s picnic area. Thank you to all those who helped clean up Main Street to prepare for the Pumpkin Roll!

The Knights Ferry School Halloween parade on Main Street will actually be held on Halloween day, October 31st! After a fun-filled morning of pumpkin decorating and classroom activities, the students will dress in costumes and parade down Main Street. Parents, friends, and locals may line Main Street to hand out candy to the students. If you would like to hand out candy, be sure to be downtown by 10:45 a.m. If you can, avoid driving through the area from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. to keep the area safe for all the students and families walking downtown!

It’s that time of the year again … the first Sunday after Halloween is our treasured Pumpkin Roll! On November 6th, Main Street Knights Ferry will be busy hosting the 59th Pumpkin Roll. The Community Club has been planning the vendor booths, ordering T-shirts, and getting the trophies ordered. This is another day to try to avoid driving downtown as the detoured roads are narrow and traffic can be busy!

Save the date, November 12th for the Salmon Festival held at the Army Corps recreation area during the day and a wonderful event held at the Knights Ferry Museum called “Knight at the Museum”. The Salmon Festival is from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and free to families, bring the kids and enjoy the day. The “Knight at the Museum” will be at the Miller’s Hall building in the evening from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Most people recognize the white building as the Knights Ferry Creamery but what some do not know is that the Knights Ferry Museum is on the second story. The Miller’s Hall and Associates invite the community to their special open house to learn about the museum and its effort to preserve the town’s history. Wine and appetizers will be served.
