Jim McCarthy’s graveside service will be on January 28th at 12pm at the Oak Grove Cemetery followed by a potluck reception at the Knights Ferry Community Clubhouse. Anyone who would like to pay their respects to Jim and family is invited to attend, please bring a dish to share to the reception. Jim and his late wife, Sherron McCarthy were very prominent members of the community. They both contributed to numerous boards and volunteer efforts for the wellbeing of Knights Ferry including the school, Post Office, and Church. Jim will be deeply missed by all.

I have amazing news! The 2023 Civil War reenactments are tentatively scheduled for March 25-26th. The reenactments will be held in the Knights Ferry river park. More details to follow in the future.

And the good news keeps on coming! The Miller’s Hall and Associates has announced they will hold their largest fundraiser of the year, the 2023 Peddler’s Faire! The Peddler’s Faire will be April 30th held at the Knights Ferry river park. The Faire will be located on the South side of the park due to the Covered Bridge closure. The Miller’s Hall and Associates are responsible for maintenance and preservation of the Knights Ferry Museum and the inner workings of the local Post Office. They will announce vendor spot application information at a later date.
