Healthy Kids Survey Shows New Patterns

Both healthier and less healthy behaviors were revealed in the California Healthy Kids Survey that was administered to Oakdale fifth, seventh, ninth, and eleventh graders in December 2010.

While Oakdale ninth and eleventh graders showed healthier behaviors in the categories of alcohol, tobacco, and inhalant use compared to their peers, they also posted significant increases in marijuana use.

The survey examined risk patterns and resiliency in students, as well as alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use (ATOD) and also ATOD use on school property.
