Drive-Through Office Hours Planned For Harder

The first-ever drive-through office hours hosted by Congressman Josh Harder are planned for next Wednesday, Aug. 19 in Modesto from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This event will allow Central Valley residents to safely connect with their representative in person. People who wish to speak with the Congressman will be required to stay in their cars and wear a mask but can ask about any issue important to them or get help with a federal agency. To observe social distancing protocols and prevent a large gathering, Rep. Harder’s office will require constituents to sign up to attend the event in advance. Appointments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19; constituents must RSVP at this form in advance and will be assigned a time slot, provided the exact event location, and given information on how to enter the parking lot. This drive-through office hours event will be the 21st office hours opportunity Rep. Harder has held since taking office. Unlike a town hall, these events provide constituents the ability to meet with the representative privately to address personal issues or ask questions they may not have the opportunity to ask at a town hall.

Last year Harder held 18 in person town halls, earning recognition by the nonpartisan, nonprofit Town Hall Project. Since the Coronavirus Pandemic began, he has held eight telephone town halls as well as additional Facebook Live town halls and several webinars with local farmers and business leaders.
