Oakdale Police are reporting four separate arson fires — all involving vehicles — that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 26, between roughly 2:45 a.m. and 4:25 a.m.

Police said all four cases were determined to be arson, with the vehicles fully engulfed in flames when firefighters and officers arrived. The first call, just before 2:45 a.m., resulted in a Jeep being burned in the 400 block of East F St. The second call came in a half hour later, in the 1200 block of East D, where an Oakdale Joint Unified School District pick up truck was burned. Just after 4 a.m., a pick up behind a business in the 1200 block of East F was burned out and a call to the 400 block of South Maag at 4:23 a.m. was due to a second school district pick up truck being burned.

No structures were damaged in any of the cases, just the vehicles.

An ongoing joint investigation is being conducted by Oakdale Police and Oakdale City Fire. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPD at 847-2231 or OFD at 847-5904.
