COWBOY UP
o cowboy

Appraiser Bruce Haener listens to some information from a patron during a special event at the Oakdale Cowboy Museum on Saturday, July 23 for the National Day of the Cowboy. He and fellow appraiser Pat Pinckney were on hand to examine a variety of Western artifacts for those bringing them in to the museum, detailing their history and offering an estimated value. It was one of the local activities in the community to mark the cowboy celebration. “The history is phenomenal,” Pinckney said of specialty bits. “I love sharing it.” The two appraisers have been friends for decades and brought some items from their personal bit collections to display as well.
