Community meeting focuses on fentanyl crisis

A town hall-style community meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale, with the topic ‘Fighting Fentanyl Together’. The meeting will feature discussion of the fentanyl epidemic and its impact on the Oakdale community.

All are encouraged to attend, join Oakdale leadership and the Stanislaus County Opioid Safety Coalition for an in-depth discussion on the fentanyl crisis. Hear from expert speakers about the dangers of fentanyl and how community residents can work together to protect local families.

This free event is open to the public and will include complimentary Naloxone (Narcan nasal spray) and offer valuable community resources.

Participating organizations are the Stanislaus County Opioid Safety Coalition, the City of Oakdale, Oakdale Police Department, the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s office and Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services.
