Stanislaus County logo

The Commission on Aging, an advisory council to the Area Agency on Aging Division of Stanislaus County, seeks three volunteers to serve as At-Large Members. The Commission on Aging (COA) serves as the eyes and ears of older adult citizens in Stanislaus County.

The COA provides a forum for older adults to express their needs and advocate for services in the community, while monitoring regulations affecting the needs of older adults at federal, state, and local levels.

In order to serve on the COA, candidates must be a resident of Stanislaus County, attend monthly meetings at the Veterans Center, and serve on at least one COA committee.

The candidates should reflect the geographic, racial, and economic complexion of the older adult population of Stanislaus County. The Membership Committee will review nominations or applications of persons and those from organizations which have interests in the concerns of older adults.

To apply for this service opportunity, contact Kim Delucchi at 209-525-6891 or kdelucchi@stancounty.com for an application.

The monthly meetings are open to the public and are held the second Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Stanislaus County Veterans Center, 3500 Coffee Road, Modesto.
