The Oakdale Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Candidate Forum on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.

The event, featuring candidates in the running for seats on the Oakdale City Council, is scheduled in the Oakdale City Council Chambers at 277 N. Second Ave., Oakdale.

“Forums are a great format in which to engage our community around the upcoming election,” said Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Mary Guardiola. “To afford candidates for office the opportunity to stand up and deliver a very distinct message about what they bring to the table in the way of solutions, programs, and their own political positions. The purpose of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce forum is to understand each candidate’s opinion on business and economic development issues that influence and impact our City of Oakdale.”

Candidates will each have two minutes for opening statements, two minutes to answer the predetermined questions, and three minutes for closing statements. The forum will be televised on Comcast for those not able to attend the event in the council chambers.
