Camp Invention Connect Offers Summer Programs
INVENTION

Summer learning has no boundaries, as Camp Invention Connect offers children the opportunity to attend weekly national editions of its acclaimed STEM enrichment camp.

Making Camp Invention even more accessible for families who do not have a local program in their area or those who have local camp scheduling conflicts, a health/pandemic concern, or children with special needs and learning challenges that make attending an in-person camp daunting, Camp Invention Connect makes it possible for kids across the country to connect, collaborate and create. And with camps running every week of the summer, it’s easy to fit all the fun and learning into a family’s busy summer schedule.

The national program, featuring Camp Invention’s 2020 Recharge curriculum, is being offered every week this summer through the week of Aug. 23. Parents can learn more and register for the camps at https://www.invent.org/connect-release.

Led by certified educators, children take on five full days of creative, problem-solving challenges and make new friends as they join their fellow campers for four optional collaborative sessions throughout each day.

This at-home program reaches far beyond what families have come to expect from “virtual learning” — balancing active, independent hands-on exploration with opportunities for socialization from home.

• An Innovator’s Toolkit packed full of fun materials is shipped directly to each participant;

• Kids get ready to invent as they receive their very own Innovator Workshop to set up at home;

• Daily challenges motivate kids to go outdoors, get active and stretch their imaginations;

• Step-by-step activity guides and digital resources help campers succeed and have fun.

A program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF) in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Camp Invention challenges children in grades K-6 to tap into their natural curiosity and use their creativity to solve problems. Through hands-on activities, Camp Invention promotes STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) learning; builds confidence, leadership, perseverance and resourcefulness; and encourages entrepreneurship — all in a fun and engaging environment. In the unprecedented times we’re all experiencing, with “unfinished learning” and other challenges due to COVID-19, these lessons and opportunities for fun ways to learn are even more valuable.

Camp Invention is the only nationally recognized summer program focused on creativity, innovation, real-world problem solving and the spirit of invention. Since 1990, Camp Invention education programs have served more than 1.7 million children, and 190,000 teachers and Leadership Interns.
