Drivers are urged to plan ahead, as delays are expected during an upcoming 39-day road improvement project.
Members of the Oakdale City Council on Monday, July 7 approved a $900,853.64 contract with United Pavement Maintenance for the Albers Pavement Rehabilitation Project, clearing the way for immediate construction beginning Monday, July 14.
According to the approved resolution, the project includes $783,503.64 for construction, a 10 percent contingency of $78,350, and $39,000 for construction engineering. Funding will come from the city’s Surface Transportation Fund (Fund 316, CP2506).
Drivers who regularly use Albers Road are advised to expect significant delays, particularly during morning commutes. Project coordinators recommend allowing an additional 30 minutes of travel time throughout the 39-day construction window.
