The final fall event of the Sonora Bach Festival will be a brunch with live, classical music. The festival, celebrating its 46th year, will conclude its 2022 presentations with music provided by the Sonora Bach Festival Trio and food by Chef Dave Ingram.

Diane Wright, Bach Festival Executive Director, said, “The event will be held at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in the midst of the pines. The hall, itself, looks out on the trees providing a beautiful view for the brunch and a lovely atmosphere for the music.”

Mt. Calvary is at 24176 Pine Lake Drive, Sugar Pine.

The Sonora Bach Festival Trio is made up of Janet Telford, flute; Sandra Betti, flute; and Alice Williams, cello. All the players, who are local, bring extensive experience as ensemble and solo players.

The musical program draws from the Baroque and Classical eras and includes, among others, The Canonic Trio by Bach; London Trio No. 1 by Haydn; Concerto in G Minor by Vivaldi; and Entrance of the Queen of Sheba by Handel.

Telford, long-time member of the Trio (and also festival board member) said, “The trio is honored to play for the 2022 Sonora Bach Festival. It is a delight to share this wonderful music with other music-lovers.”

The brunch will include a variety of dishes from sweet to savory from multiple regions including the Mediterranean, France and the United States.

“The menu definitely has an international vibe to it. There will be a variety of tastes and something for everyone,” said Chef Ingram.

With over 40 years of experience in bakeries, delis, fine dining establishments, a hotel, and a convention center, Ingram has also worked locally in the kitchens of the Black Oak Casino and the Sonora Inn.
