Musical Production Scheduled By Linden Community Theatre
Theater

Community Theatre of Linden presents Damn Yankees, the musical, directed by Judy Caruso Williamson and taking the stage later this month at Linden High School.

Joe Boyd, an aging Washington Senators fan, would sell his soul for the Senators to beat the New York Yankees and win the pennant. Enter Applegate, who offers to turn Boyd into Joe Hardy, a powerful young baseball player, in exchange for his soul. When Boyd agrees, he becomes Hardy and leads the Senators on a winning streak. When he starts to miss his wife, though, and questions the deal, Applegate sends temptress Lola into the mix.

Shows are scheduled Thursday through Sunday, July 25 through 28 and Friday through Sunday, Aug. 2 through 4. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Tickets are available at www.lindentheatre.com or at the door. The show will be at the Linden High School Performing Arts Center at 18527 E. Front St., Linden.

There will be a special video intro by New York Yankees right fielder and Linden native Aaron Judge. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Judge’s All Rise Foundation youth charity, a free baseball camp for children that takes place at Judge’s alma mater, Linden High School, with volunteer coaches from area college baseball programs
