Cabernet Season is a special time to visit the Napa Valley, but this year is exceptional. As Wine Country recovers from the October wildfires, the return of tourism has become an important step for Calistoga. Fortunately, the charming town and its main street were spared of fire damage; Calistoga is excited to welcome visitors back.

The Calistoga Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center invites you to participate in its eighth annual Winter in the Wineries Passport season, beginning Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, and running through Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018. Calistoga’s Winter in the Wineries Passport program allows Passport holders access to complimentary tastings at 17 wineries at any time during this two-month period. Additionally, Passport holders will receive special restaurant offers and discounts at several of Calistoga’s lodging properties, spas and downtown shops. This year, the Calistoga Chamber recognizes The San Francisco Chronicle’s ‘The Press’ as the exclusive News Media sponsor.

Pre-orders for Passports are available online: http://visitcalistoga.com/winter-in-the-wineries-passport or by calling 707-942-6333. The passport price of $60 is valued at over $400 in wine tastings alone and is considered the best value of tasting in Napa Valley, not to mention a great gift idea for the holidays!

With every Passport page stamped, Passport holders are sure to enjoy the opportunity to swirl and sip in celebration of the Napa Valley’s Cabernet Season. Participating wineries include Calistoga’s many boutique wineries and main street tasting rooms.

Now through Dec. 1, a contest to win two Passports, a two-night stay at Calistoga Arbors, a V.I.P. Tasting paired with handmade earth & sky chocolates at Madrigal Family Winery will be available through the VisitCalistoga.com website. The winner will be notified on Dec. 2.

“Winter in the Wineries Passport program is a great way for wine novices and experts to experience Napa Valley varietals and Calistoga’s authentic sense of place,” said Chris Canning, executive director of the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center. “We are grateful and excited to welcome visitors to another year of the Passport series as a great way to leisurely explore and sip through the city during Napa Valley Cabernet Season.”
