Vieira, Dobbins United In Marriage
0615 Wed-VIEIRA
Luke and Amanda Vieira
Luke Richard Vieira of Turlock and Amanda Rae Dobbins of Oakdale were united as husband and wife on May 14, 2011.
The couple was surrounded by friends and family during an early afternoon double ring ceremony conducted at the Friendly Wedding Chapel in Modesto. A reception followed at the Oakdale Sportsmen’s Club.
The bride is the daughter of Wesley and Deborah Dobbins of Oakdale. She is a 2005 alum of Oakdale High School and currently attends Modesto Junior College. She is employed with Open Door Services in Modesto as an Instructor.
She wore a traditional strapless gown, classically accented with beading on the bodice. Her bouquet was arranged with vibrant pink, orange and red Gerber daisies. Her keepsake items were the wedding rings of her Great Grandmother, which she wore on her right hand, as well as ribbon from her mother’s gown.
Standing beside her as Maid of Honor was Katie Schmitt of Oakdale. Bridesmaids were Annie Lemons of Oakdale and Bekah Parker of Denair. The bridal party wore bright pink dresses and carried Gerber daisy bouquets as well.
She was given in marriage by her father Wesley Dobbins.
The groom is the son of Jeff and Diane Vieira and Patti and Dave Johnston. He is also a 2005 alum of OHS and is currently a mill operator at Associated Feed in Turlock.
Present as Best Man was the groom’s father, Jeff Vieira of Modesto. Groomsmen were Logan Jeremy of Oakdale and Ryan Vieira of Ballico. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Cory and Wyatt Dobbins of Oakdale.
The couple honeymooned for several days in Columbia and Yosemite. They plan to settle in Turlock.
