Eberly, Dillwood Exchange Vows

Joshua Otis Eberly, of Corning, Iowa and Heather Ann Dillwood of Oakdale united as husband and wife on April 17 in Boone, Iowa.

Presiding over the ceremony was the bride’s brother Richard J. Dillwood of Greensboro, North Carolina. The ceremony and reception were held at the Seven Oaks Ski Lodge in Boone, Iowa. The couple celebrated their first dance as husband and wife to “You and Me” by Dave Matthews.

The bride is the daughter of Rick and Cheryl Dillwood of Oakdale and Toots Van Ruiten and Jim Mangante of Jamestown. She carried a crystal rosary in her tulip and rose bouquet, which was borrowed from her grandmother, Mary Van Ruiten of Oakdale. She was given in marriage by her father Rick Dillwood of Oakdale.

Nicole Reed of Oakdale, cousin of the bride, was the Maid of Honor. Kellie Meyer of Ankeny, Iowa, Jacoba Peichoto of Waterford, Amanda Umbaugh of Des Moines, Iowa and Genevieve Shafer of Cedar Falls, Iowa were present as bridesmaids. Meredith Johnson of Altoona, Iowa, Kelsey Nehring of Ankeny, Iowa and Gwen Redd of Des Moines, Iowa served as hostesses. Cora Lynn Peichoto of Waterford was the flower girl.

The groom is the son of Rex Jr. and Linda Eberly of Corning, Iowa. Beside him as Best Man was friend Clayton Grau of Corning, Iowa. Groomsmen were Clint Crill of Corning, Iowa, Frank Houchin of Gravity, Iowa, Mark Nehring of Ankeny, Iowa, and Matt Smith of Altoona, Iowa. Nolan DeWall of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Brandon Donoho of Ankeny, Iowa and Josh Hines of Ankeny, Iowa were ushers.

The couple honeymooned in Branson, Missouri for five days. An additional honeymoon to Australia is being planned. The newlyweds also plan to continue to reside in Altoona, Iowa.
