Robert Alvarez of Riverbank and Angela Douglass of Oakdale welcomed the arrival of their son, Robert Izayah Alvarez, on Feb. 4, 2011. The newborn weighed seven pounds, five ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

Welcoming the newcomer home was older sibling Emmi Marie Alvarez.

Veronica Baldarrama of Oxnard is the maternal grandmother.

Kelly Douglass and Betty Chavez of Oakdale are paternal grandparents.
