A boy, Nicholas Matthew Johnson, was born July 26, 2009 to expectant parents Nick and Emily Johnson of Manteca. The newborn weighed seven pounds, 13 ounces upon arrival.

The mother is the former Emily Gallego.

Welcoming the newcomer home were older sisters Elizabeth, 5 and Carolyn, 2.

Sam and Shirlee Gallego of Escalon are the maternal grandparents. Alice Widmer of Lathrop and Phyllis Gallego of French Camp are the maternal great-grandparents.

Scott and Norma Johnson of Modesto are paternal grandparents.
