A girl, Kendel Joy VanderWerff, was born Sept. 15, 2011 to expectant parents Derek and Brandi VanderWerff of Oakdale. The newborn weighed seven pounds, 15 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.
The mother is the former Brandi Boyle.
Mark Boyle and Sarah Jones are the maternal grandparents.
Adrian VanderWerff and Sandra Coleman are paternal grandparents.
