A boy, Julian Castro, was born Feb. 3, 2011 to expectant parents Juan and Julieta Castro of Oakdale. The newborn weighed seven pounds, six ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

The mother is the former Julieta Estrada.

Welcoming the newcomer home was big brother Jonathan Castro.

Pedro and Maricela Estrada of Mexico are the maternal grandparents.

Manuel and Olivia Castro of Mexico are the parental grandparents.
