A boy, Jason Christopher Wrede, was born Dec. 20, 2010 to expectant parents Derick Wrede and Kelly O’Brien of Riverbank. The newborn weighed eight pounds, 12 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

Waiting to welcome the newcomer home was older sister Hailey Wrede.

Maternal grandparents are Chris and Debbie O’Brien of Concord.

Paternal grandparents are Eric and Carol Wrede of Sonora.
