A boy, Diego Manny Ribeiro, was born Oct. 28, 2011 to expectant parents John Ribeiro and Roberta Carr of Oakdale. The newborn weighed seven pounds, 15 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

Judy Day of Oakdale and Lucia Oliverios of Hayward are the maternal grandparents.
