A girl, Calista Jane Tidwell, was born Dec. 8, 2011 to expectant parents Doil Tidwell and Amanda Cruse of Turlock. The newborn weighed seven pounds, five ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.
Welcoming the newcomer home was older brother Joseph Cruse.
Craig Cruse and Karen Ramos of Oakdale are the maternal grandparents.
Charles and Jane Smothers of Fremont are paternal grandparents.
