A girl, Ahilyn Guzman, was born Nov.6, 2011 to expectant parents Rocio Perez and Rogelio Guzman of Oakdale. The newborn weighed eight pounds, 12 ounces upon arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

Welcoming the newcomer home were older siblings Amarin and Alejandro Guzman.

Benjamin Perez and Cleotilde Zarate of Mexico are the maternal grandparents.

Rogelio and Maria Guzman of Oakdale are paternal grandparents.
