Scrimmages Wrap Up For OHS Squads

Following the first two weeks of the school year, the Oakdale High School fall sports are wrapping up their scrimmages. This past week girl’s golf, cross country, girl’s tennis and both water polo programs held scrimmages.

Girls golf held scrimmages against Gregori and Livingston. Oakdale traveled to Rocklin on Monday, Aug. 26 to play at Whitney Oaks Golf Course. The non-league contest took place following The Leader’s press time. This week the girls will host Rocklin at Oakdale Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Thursday they will travel to take on Lincoln at Turkey Creek Golf Course.

Friday, Aug. 23 the cross country team hosted their Red/Gold Fox Trot. Thursday, Aug. 29 the team travels to Tracy for the Jaguar Invitational scheduled for 3 p.m.

Oakdale’s tennis team opened Valley Oak League play on Tuesday, Aug. 27 when they hosted East Union. The match was held following The Leader’s press time. Thursday, Aug. 29 the girls will travel to Tracy to face Kimball at 3:30 p.m.

Water polo teams hit the pool this past weekend when the girls traveled to Merced for a scrimmage. The girls will host Turlock on Wednesday, Sept. 4 scheduled for 4 p.m. The boys team will also be hosting Turlock that same day.
