Martin Sandoval should never have a problem with loose-fitting pants. The Oakdale High graduate and Oakdale MMA fighter successfully defended his Rebel Fighter championship belt with a victory over Randy Rodoni at Rebel Fighter “Annihilation” on Aug. 13. The win improved Sandoval’s MMA record to a sharp 8-3 with back-to-back victories.
Sandoval earns an Athlete of the Week nod from The Leader for his successful title defense. He fights again on Oct. 15 at the Merced Fairgrounds.
Sandoval was a standout athlete as an Oakdale Mustang and continues to pursue excellence in athletics outside the OHS halls.
