StocktonCon Makes Return
stocktoncon

StocktonCon returns to the Stockton Arena this August. The two day convention begins Saturday, Aug. 18. Celebrities, professional wrestlers and comic book artists will all be under one roof along with thousands of fans.

Scheduled to appear at this year’s event is wrestling’s living icon: Sting.

Sting began his career in the late 1980’s as a member of the tag team, The Bladerunners. He went on to have one of the most successful solo wrestling careers in World Championship Wrestling history. His career included feuds with legendary wrestlers Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Vader and Lex Luger. During his Hall of Fame career that nearly spanned three decades, Sting has held 14 world championships and 25 total championships. Sting will be appearing on Saturday only.

Other professional wrestlers set to appear are Christian and James Ellsworth. Christian’s fame skyrocketed in the late 1990’s when he was one third of the popular stable known as The Brood. He and his tag team partner Edge, went on to win the World Wrestling Entertainment Tag Team Championship several times and remain one of the most beloved tag teams in wrestling history. Christian went on to have a celebrated singles career where he won multiple championships. He will be available for meet and greet opportunities both days. Ellsworth is a quirky personality that had a big World Wrestling Entertainment run in 2016. The ultimate underdog who is best known for his motto “Anyone with two hands has a fighting chance” burst into main event status after years in the Independent Wrestling circuit. Today, Ellsworth is the manager of the World Wrestling Entertainment Women’s Champion Carmella.

Tickets are still available online at stocktoncon.com and at many outlets throughout the Central Valley.
