Swimmers Successful In Home Meet

Oakdale High School swimmers defeated both Manteca and Central Catholic in a dual Valley Oak League meet this past Friday inside the Oakdale High School Aquatic Center. The boys defeated Manteca 106-47 and Central Catholic 108-47. The girls were also winners with a 118-52 decision over Manteca and a 114-50 victory over Central Catholic.

On the day the boys had numerous first place finishers. Aron Cameron took first in the 100 meter breaststroke. Caden Nord took first in the 50 meter freestyle. Ethan Perry took first in both 100 meter freestyle and the 100 meter backstroke. Stash Perry claimed first in the 200 meter IM. David Terwilliger placed first in the 500 meter freestyle. In the 200 meter medley relay Ethan Perry, Aron Cameron, Caden Nord and Chandler Neal took first place. The foursome of Chandler Neal, Aron Cameron, Stash Perry and Caden Nord placed first in the 200 meter freestyle.

For the ladies it was Madi Blanc placing first in the 100 meter breaststroke. Whitney Lee took first in the 500 meter freestyle. Jensen Perry took first place in the 50 meter freestyle. In the medley relays Kayla Peterson, Madi Blanc, Daytona McGinnis and Kassidy Houck took first in the 200 meter event.

On Saturday, April 28 Oakdale will host the 2018 Valley Oak League Championship Meet with swimming beginning at 9 a.m.
