On Saturday, Sept. 3 Oakdale’s youth football program teams hosted the Manteca Jaguars. Oakdale’s varsity Stampede proved to be too much for the Jaguars as the Stampede defeated the visitors 48-28. The Stampede junior varsity team also earned a big win, as Oakdale won 45-6. Starting the day off strong for Oakdale was the Stampede Peewees with a convincing 27-6 victory over the young Jags.

This past Saturday, Oakdale hit the road for the first time this season as they traveled to Atwater to face the Buhach Thunder. The varsity Stampede boys fell for the first time as the Thunder lowered the boom on Oakdale, 28-14. The loss puts the varsity at 2-1 through the first three weeks of the season. In junior varsity action, the Stampede silenced the Thunder 60-6 to improve to 3-0. In Peewee action Oakdale fell to the host Thunder 14-0. Oakdale Peewee now holds a record of 2-1.

Oakdale returns home to host the Ceres Seahawks this weekend. The Rookies – who do not keep a score – get the action started at The Corral on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Peewee takes the field at 3 p.m.; junior varsity follows at 5 p.m. and varsity caps off the night at 7 p.m.
