The Oakdale Stampede varsity team traveled to Atwater High School as AFC champs to take on the NFC champion Modesto Broncos for the 2015 Super Bowl crown. Oakdale fell short in the championship quest as the Broncos corralled the Stampede, 44-30. Oakdale’s Minaya Olivo scored two touchdowns, and teammates Steven Morris and Peyton Bradford also found the end zone for Oakdale in the season finale.

Earlier in the day, Oakdale’s junior varsity squad took the field in the 2015 Friendship Bowl where they took on the Central Valley 49ers. Oakdale built up a 26-6 halftime lead and got a solid effort in both halves from the defense, holding off the 49ers in a 26-12 final.

Tyler Brown scored three touchdowns for the junior varsity team, including two touchdown passes from his quarterback Johnathon Jones. Yahir Ayala also scored for the Stampede.
