Football season will be here before we know it. Oakdale’s youth football program known as Stampede is currently accepting sign-ups for their Rookie team. Rookie is designed for players seven or eight years of age (as of Aug. 1, 2017). Stampede hosts open meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at 120 S, Sierra Ave., Oakdale. A ‘Meet and Greet’ is planned for Saturday, July 22 at Kerr Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Aug. 19, Oakdale will host the Round Robin beginning at 1 p.m. inside The Corral. On Saturday, Aug. 26 the regular season begins at home against Manteca.
