The annual Oakdale High School Senior vs. Staff basketball game took place on Wednesday, March 7. The contest featured over 50 senior students competing against Oakdale Unified School District staff members. In a game where the score “does not matter” the staff had more points.
Representing the seniors were four of the boys varsity basketball players: Drew Legan, Marc Dickson, Cesar Garcia and Jace Krick. The co-ed game also had seniors from the varsity girls basketball team Whitney Neilson and Sarah Bohrer taking part. Other sport athletes also competed in the game including Kayla Budine, Chloe Vierra, Grace Green, Jorge Barajas, Corey Hinojosa, Dakota McNeil, Nathan Richardson, Ludvig Westberg, Jenna London and more.
On the staff side it was basketball coaches Bobby Monges, Charles Legan, Jeremy Fields and Julie Ford and varsity baseball coach Chris Henry amongst others suiting up for the entertaining night of hoops action.
This was the ninth annual event. Tonight, Wednesday, March 14 it will be the annual Powerball Volleyball game that will feature male students from the junior and senior classes. That game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Oakdale High School.
