Under first year head coach Heather Gonzales, the OHS Lady Mustang Varsity girls’ volleyball club is off to a perfect 3-0 Valley Oak League (VOL) start. Also around campus, the girl’s tennis teams split a pair of games and the girl’s golf team also hit the links this week in a busy week for Lady Mustang team sports.

Oakdale’s underclassmen also strung together an impressive evening against Manteca as the junior varsity won in three sets and the freshman girls walked off the court victorious after just two sets.

Over the weekend, Oakdale hosted their annual Varsity Invitational tournament. The Lady Mustangs placed fourth overall, falling in the final round to third place finisher Escalon.

GIRLS TENNIS

The Lady Mustangs split a pair of matches this week as they pulled out a 5-4 home victory over Weston Ranch, but fell short on the road to Manteca. GIRLS GOLF

Over the course of the last decade, East Union has been the top team in the VOL. Winning over 100 contests in the last decade, Oakdale was faced with the tall task of traveling to Manteca Park to take on the Lady Lancers. Oakdale’s valiant effort fell short against East Union 216-256.
