Teens age 15 and older pay a $5 fishing permit fee and all those 16 and over also need a valid California fishing license. Kids under 15 fish for free but need to be accompanied by an adult. The derby is staged at Oak Grove’s 10-acre lake during the event.

There is also a $6 vehicle-parking fee. All State Fish and Game laws apply. Participants must supply their own fishing equipment.
