Oakdale’s next game came against Weston Ranch, where a 19-point effort by Joseph Lutz was not enough to propel Oakdale to a road win.

The Mustangs (3-14, 0-4) played host to Lathrop (10-7, 2-2) on Tuesday, Jan. 17 following The Leader’s press time. Oakdale will host first place Manteca (12-5, 4-0) on Thursday, Jan. 19 with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. The Mustangs will travel to Sierra (11-5, 2-2) on Saturday afternoon to take on the Timberwolves with a 5 p.m. tipoff time.

JUNIOR VARSITY

Like the varsity boys, the junior varsity team fell on hard times this week. Oakdale dropped both road games, losing 56-31 to Weston Ranch and 54-45 to East Union. Sam Medlin led the team in scoring against Weston Ranch with 12 points and Luis Medrano added seven points. Medrano followed up with a 13-point night against the Lancers and Medlin scored 11.
